Invitation for Prince Alwaleed to Visit Palestine from President


HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) received at his office in Riyadh HE Mr. Bassem Abdullah Alagha, Palestinian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia who was accompanied by Mr. Munther Saad Aldeen, Ambassador’s Office Manager. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Nahla Nasser Alanbar, Private Executive Assistant to HRH the chairman and Mr. Fahad Bin Saad Bin Nafel, Executive Assistant to HRH the chairman.

The meeting began with the Ambassador thanking Prince Alwaleed for receiving him. Moreover, the two discussed the economic status and development in Palestine also the suffering of the Palestinian people. Also during the meeting the Ambassador presented HRH with an invitation to visit Palestine.  Furthermore, HRH expressed his continuous support to the people in need and especially to #Palestine. In conclusion, Prince Alwaleed thanked the Ambassador and promised to visit in the near future.

In 2013, Prince Alwaleed received at his office in Riyadh HE Eng. Walid Assaf, Minister of Agriculture of the State of Palestine and an accompanying delegation that included Dr. Nasser Aljaghoub, Under Secretary Palestine’s Agriculture Ministry. In 2011, Prince Alwaleed received Mr. Abdulraheem Mahmoud Jamoos, Member of Palestinian National Council.

Prince Alwaleed maintains strong economic ties with Palestine through his investments. In 2011, Mövenpick Ramallah Hotel in Palestine was opened. Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), chaired by Prince Alwaleed owns a 33.3% stake in Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts that manages the Mövenpick Ramallah Hotel.

Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation-Global has been actively supporting Palestine through out philanthropic projects since 1996 which include the  renovation of Al Omari Mosque,donations to the Right to Live Society for the Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Down Syndrome,support for Palestinian Communities, support for the Palestine Center for Human Perseverance (Fata),support for Al Quds University ,donation to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for the Medical Training Program, and donation to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and UNRWA during the Gaza crisis of 2008.

Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundations are involved in a wide spectrum of humanitarian and philanthropic activities in more than 80 countries. Their main focus areas have been established around strategic initiatives, ranging from Disaster Relief and Community Development, to Women and Youth Empowerment, as well as Promoting Intercultural Understanding.
