HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) received at office in Riyadh on Sunday 25th October 2015, HE Ambassador Carlos de Icaza, Mexican Deputy Foreign Affairs Secretary and an accompanying delegation. The meeting was also attended by a delegation from #KHC that included Mr. Mohammed Almujadidi, Senior Executive Manager, Office of HRH the Chairman and Ms. Heba Fatani, Senior Executive Manager, Corporate Communications Department, and from HRH’s Private Office attended Ms. Hassna Alturki, Executive Manager for International Relations to HRH the Chairman, Mr. Fahad Bin Nafil, Senior Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman, Mr. Ahmed Altobaishi, Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman.
The meeting began as Prince Alwaleed welcomed Mr. Icaza and the delegation. During the meeting, the two discussed a number of general local, regional issues, the two discussed economic, investment and social issues related to their respective countries. Moreover, Mr. Icaza commended the Prince on his achievements referring to him as one the world’s most influential investors in many sectors. Furthermore, Mr. Icaza was keen on listening to the Prince’s views and pointed out that the Prince is well known for his significant and successful projects as he has a special vision for future potential investments where #Mexico may benefit from.
KHC’s investments in Mexico include the management of the Four Seasons Hotel Mexico, D.F and Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, Mexico and the management of Fairmont Mayakoba. In addition to Citigroup in the financial sector.
In 2013, Prince Alwaleed met Mexican businessman Mr. Carlos Slim the wealthiest man in the world during the first Global Vaccine Summit in Abu Dhabi. Moreover, during the summit Alwaleed Philanthropies (formerly known as Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation-Global) that is chaired by Prince Alwaleed signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MOC) in a unique partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Co-Chaired by Mr. Bill Gates to bolster the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. Alwaleed Philanthropies pledged $30 Million to that effort; Mr. Carlos Slim also contributed to the same cause.
