Prince Alwaleed Awards SR210,000 to Tayma Sports Club

HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) on Saturday, June 8th 2013, received players and members of Tayma Sports Club, chaired by Mr. Saud Alshamari, at KHC headquarters.

Prince Alwaleed met with Mr. Alshamari who was accompanied by the team’s delegation. The two discussed the latest updates of the club and their achievements. The Prince stressed the need to support sports and the athletes as well as the development of clubs in Saudi Arabia and to embrace the young generation to hone their athletic skills and invest their time in useful activities.

As a reward, Prince Alwaleed awarded the club members and players with a total of SR60,000 and an additional SR50,000 for the club’s budget. In response to the team’s request, Prince Alwaleed also donated a Large bus with a cost of SR100,000 for the use of the club. This honor comes as the clubs team achieved a number of achievements in games where the volleyball team finished in first place in the youth division, the Table Tennis first place in the region’s championship and the football team finished second to score the first division in the region championship.

In conclusion to the event, Mr. Alshamari thanked Prince Alwaleed for his support and his constant encouragement for clubs and sport federations in Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, the team presented a trophy to Prince Alwaleed in recognition of his continued support for the sport and athletes.
