Alwaleed Foundation Supports "A Physician in Every Household"

Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation (registered in Saudi Arabia), that is chaired by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud and vice chaired by HH Princess Ameerah Al-Taweel who is also the Secretary General has supported and sponsored a training  program named "A physician in every household" in cooperation with the Association of Neighborhood Centers in Jeddah Governorate.

“A physician in every household" is a health awareness program that serves community members through first aid training in theory and practice which aims to raise awareness of how to deal with emergencies, accidents and to rectify the common errors dealing with injuries by trained specialists in partnership with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority and The Ministry of Education. This program aims to promote knowledge of vital first aid in each house and school,  to break the fear barrier of rescuing an injured person by understanding the fundamentals, and methods of first aid.

These courses are held in Jeddah and its provinces by an average of one month for each session, aimed at males and females from the age of 16 and above within schools, centers and some community outreach offices, coinciding with the school year reaching out to more than 216.000 beneficiaries.

The Association of Neighborhood Centers was founded in Makkah-Jeddah in 2004 and is chaired by HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Prince of Makkah. HRH Prince Mishaal Bin Majid Bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jeddah is President of the Branch Council of the Association of Neighborhood Centers in Jeddah Governorate.

Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundations are involved in a wide spectrum of humanitarian and philanthropic activities in more than 70 countries. Their main focus areas have been established around strategic initiatives, ranging from Disaster Relief and Community Development, to Women and Youth Empowerment, as well as Promoting Intercultural Understanding.
