Prince Alwaleed Awarded Commemorative Plaque by General Director of Equestrian Club Prince Alwaleed Largest Supporter of Equestrian Sport in Saudi Arabia

178 Cars Awarded by HRH to Club


HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), received in his office in Riyadh Mr. Adel Abdullah Al Mazroa, General Director, The Equestrian Club, Riyadh. The meeting was attended by Mr. Saad Bin Nafel Head of HRH’s Private Office.

The meeting began as Mr. Al Mazroa thanked Prince Alwaleed for giving him the opportunity to meet with him and expressed his appreciation to Prince Alwaleed for his continuous support to The Equestrian Club. He also thanked His Highness for his contribution to the sport through prizes, cups and other rewards since 1985, which positively affected the development of the sport in Saudi Arabia. Mr. Al Mazroa also relayed cordial regards to the Prince and Kingdom Holding Company from the owners and trainers of the horses at the club for the Prince’s valued support.

Moreover, the General Director presented a brief about the latest developments at the club, achievements nationally and studies carried out for the equestrian sport especially in connection with the new generation of riders. Furthermore, Mr. Al Mazroa presented HRH with a commemorative plague in recognition of his support to the Equestrian Club. In response, the Prince thanked Mr. Al Mazroa and expressed his readiness to continue to contribute to the club, wishing it success.

From 1990 to 1999, Prince Alwaleed had awarded the club 10 cups and 178 cars from Kingdom Holding Company since 1985 until 2012, in addition to financial rewards with a total value of approximately SR9 million.

In 2010, Prince Alwaleed received Mr. Rashid Al-Zenaidy, Former General Director of the Equestrian Club, Riyadh who presented HRH with a commemorative plague in recognition of his support to the Equestrian Club.
