HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at his office Monday, September 24th 2012 the Saudi national team that participated in the Paralympics which recently concluded in London. The team was headed by Dr. Nasser Bin Abdulaziz AlSaleh the Secretary General of the Saudi sports Federation for special needs. The meeting was attended by Ms. Heba Fatani, Senior Executive Manager, Corporate Communications Department, Dr. Nahla Nasser Alanbar, Private Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman, Ms. Intisar Al-Yamani, Executive Manager, Corporate Communications Department, Mr. Omar Almuttawa, Executive Manager, Finance and Administration and Mr. Husam Alsuliman, Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman, Mr. Hazim Fahad Aldosary, Relations Manager Corporate Communications Department.
The discussions during the meeting between HRH, Dr. Saleh and the team revolved around the achievements of the federation which the Prince emphasized should always be supported together with its athletes. Prince Alwaleed said that sports clubs in Saudi Arabia should focus on encouraging athletes with special needs, as well as encouraging young people to use their spare time constructively. Moreover, Prince Alwaleed presented the federation with SR100,000, and awarded a special gift to Hani Alnakhli who brought back a silver medal for the national team in the Men's Discus Throw. Furthermore, every other team member was also suitably rewarded.
In conclusion to the meeting, Dr. Nasser AlSaleh thanked Prince Alwaleed for his support to the team and to Saudi sports in general as the Prince is known as an advocate of various sports, The Federation had also presented a trophy to the Prince in recognition of this support.
