Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation’s 2012 Final Board of Trustees Meeting

HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation (Registered in Saudi Arabia), headed the final meeting of its 2012 Board at his offices in Riyadh. Members of the Board included HH Princess Ameerah Al-Taweel, Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees and Secretary General of Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundations, Ms. Nada Al Sugair, Executive Director, Finance and Administration, and Dr. Sheikh Ali Al Nashwan, Religious Advisor to HRH the Chairman.

The meeting was also attended by Alwaleed Foundation Management Committee that included Mrs. Nora Almalki, Executive Manager, Development Projects, Mr. Ali Al-Ahmed, Executive Manager, Social Projects, Mr. Ghurm Al-Ghamdi, Executive Manager, Finance and Administration, Ms. Eman Al-Hussien, Executive Manager of Intercultural Initiatives, Ms. Najla Tarabzouni, Communications & Media Manager, and Mrs. Amal Al Garafi, Office Manager of Vice Chairwoman of the board.

The agenda focused on evaluating the projects of Alwaleed Foundation, and reviewing its achievements. The Board discussed future strategic plans to develop existing projects and implementing new ones. In addition, the Board reviewed the net impact of the projects of the Foundation on community development, response to natural disasters, women empowerment and youth development and the promotion of cultural exchange initiatives.

As an extension of Prince Alwaleed’s commitment to philanthropic causes “Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation” obtained its license in 2009 from the Ministry of Social Affairs. In the past 30 years of charity and humanitarian work HRH has donated more than SR10 billion to this cause.

The Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation-Global (Registered in Lebanon) is involved in a wide spectrum of humanitarian activities reaching more than 70 countries. Its main focus areas have been established around strategic initiatives, ranging from Disaster Relief and Community Development, to Women Empowerment and Youth Development, as well as Promoting Intercultural Initiatives.
