HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), met with HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco during their visit to London, UK.
Moreover during the meeting, they discussed the warm friendship between Saudi Arabia and Monaco and referred to a number of investment, economic and social issues. The meeting also touched upon the latest economic developments. Subsequent to the meeting, His Highness was presented with Monaco’s highest medal “The Highest Medal of the Monaco” by HSH Prince Albert II. The medal is HRH’s 77th Honorary Medal.
Moreover, during the trip Prince Alwaleed attended the 2015 fundraising dinner of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, which took place at Sotheby’s in London. The fundraising dinner was dedicated to support the implementation of innovative and ethical solutions to protect the environment and promote sustainable development on a global scale. The event also marked the 50th anniversary of Sir Winston Churchill’s death with a celebration of the friendship shared between Churchill and the Principality of Monaco. In order to support the goals of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, Prince Alwaleed contributed $1,500,000 US Dollars at the Foundation’s fundraising dinner.

In 2012, Alwaleed Philanthropies chaired by Prince Alwaleed has made a donation of $185,000 to the Monaco LifeCheck Foundation in support of its Health Score Cancer Program through its Founder, Dr. Michael McNamara.
