Prince Alwaleed Receives Former German Federal Chancellor

HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) received HE Mr. Gerhard Schröder, Former German Federal Chancellor and Honorary Chairman of the Near and Middle East Association and an accompanying delegation. The delegation included HE Mr. Dieter W. Haller, German Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Martin Herrenknecht, CEO & Chairman of the Board of Herrenknecht AG and Mr. Albrecht Funk, Office Director of Mr. Schröder.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Shadi Sanbar, KHC’s Executive Director, CFO and Member of the Investment Committee, Mr. Mohammed Almujadidi, Senior Executive Manager, Office of HRH the Chairman, Ms. Heba Fatani, Senior Executive Manager, Corporate Communications Department, Dr. Nahla Nasser Alanbar, Private Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman, Ms. Intisar Al Yamani, Executive Manager, Corporate Communications Department and Mr. Fahad Bin Saad Bin Nafel, Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman.

The meeting began as Mr. Schröder thanked Prince Alwaleed for giving him and the delegation the opportunity to meet with him. The two touched upon the latest regional and international developments on the social and economic front.

Moreover, Mr. Schröder was keen on listening to the Prince’s views and pointed out that the Prince is well known for his significant and successful projects as he has a special vision for future potential investments. In conclusion to the meeting, Prince’s guest thanked HRH for his warm hospitality.

Recently, Prince Alwaleed received HE Ambassador Brois Ruge, German Director General for Near, Middle East Affairs and North Africa Federal Foreign Office and an accompanying delegation.

The Prince’s investments through KHC in #Germany include investments in the hospitality sector through Fairmont Hotel in Hamburg, 14 Movenpick and 3 Swissotel Hotels, and in the banking sector through Citigroup.
